Lab Employee Survey - Assistance Requested

Lab Employee Survey - Assistance Requested

Dear Colleagues,

On September 24, 2013, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) published an amendment that requires all federally funded employers to survey their workforce.  This amendment prohibits federal contractors and subcontractors from discriminating in employment against individuals with disabilities and veterans.  The new rule strengthens the regulations to aid contractors in their efforts to recruit and hire individuals with disabilities and veterans; this does not impose a quota in recruiting or hiring of select individuals.

As an employer that receives funding from the federal government, we comply with all requirements of the OFCCP.  With this recent amendment, the Lab must provide all employees  an opportunity to self disclose if they have a disability or are a veteran of the armed services.  The surveys are completely voluntary and any information captured remains confidential.  Disclosure of this information will not result in adverse employment action.  The data will only be used to comply with reporting requirements and establish a reporting benchmark.

We ask that you take a moment to complete the surveys that are located at the following links:
