Message from Hugh Montgomery: All-Hands Meeting on Oct. 1

Power Point slides from Jefferson Lab Director Hugh Montgomery's All Hands Presentation on Oct. 1.

All,

I will conduct an all-hands meeting on Thursday, Oct. 1, in the CEBAF Center auditorium. I plan to provide the Jefferson Lab community with an update on safety, workforce diversity, cyber security and recent federal cyber breaches, infrastructure and the campus plan, funding & budget status, and major activities including the 12 GeV Upgrade status, the fall accelerator running schedule, LCLS II work, the Nuclear Science Advisory Committee (NSAC) Long Range Plan due out in mid-October, and the Jefferson Lab proposal for a future Electron-Ion Collider and other items.

To accommodate the laboratory community, there will be two sessions – one at 9:00 a.m. and the other at 11:00 a.m.

To allow for auditorium capacity, attendance for the sessions is suggested below. If you cannot make the session your division or work center is scheduled for, you may attend the other session. No standing or sitting at the back of the auditorium or on auditorium stairs will be permitted.

Thursday, Oct. 1, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.:
Accelerator Division
Engineering Division
Environment, Safety, Health & Quality Division
Director's Office

Thursday, Oct. 1, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.:
Experimental Nuclear Physics Division
Chief Financial Officer Division
12 GeV Upgrade Project
Theory and Computational Physics Group
Information Technology Division
Facilities Management & Logistics
Chief Operating Officer's Group

All others

If you are unable to attend either of the sessions, or if the auditorium reaches capacity before you arrive, you may stream the meeting on your computer by using a link that will be sent out on Thursday morning.

One of the sessions will also be recorded, and a link to it will be posted on Insight for viewing by staff and users at a later date.

Regards,
Mont
