New Conference Management Policy

The Admin Manual, Section 104, has been updated to reflect the requirements of DOE Order 110.3A on Conference Management. The new policy and procedures were reviewed and approved by a panel of scientists and managers, ending with Mike Dallas, Tony Thomas, and Christoph Leemann. It is effective immediately.

If you are planning to sponsor or co-sponsor a conference, please read the attached policy and procedures . Be aware that a conference is defined as a meeting, workshop, retreat, seminar, symposium, or similar event that involves official travel. All approval requirements and necessary steps for planning a conference are included in the policy and procedures.

Before making any commitment on behalf of Jefferson Lab, you must first meet with Staff Services. Staff Services will determine whether your conference falls within the guidelines of the DOE Order and will guide you through the organization and approval process.
