New Language for Authors

New Language for Authors

In June 2014 , the Department of Energy's Office of Science issued new guidance for manuscripts produced by laboratories funded by DOE. Each submitted manuscript must now contain both a Notice to the Publisher and specific language in the acknowledgments section of the manuscript.

Here is the new language for authors to use in the acknowledgment section of published manuscripts for most of the research that is conducted at Jefferson Lab and all research that is supported by DOE's Office of Science, Office of Nuclear Physics: "This material is based upon work supported by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Office of Nuclear Physics under contract DE-AC05-06OR23177."

This language is in addition to the Notice to the Publisher, which must appear on the front of submitted manuscripts. To see the full instructions for the Notice to the Publisher and the acknowledgment language, please visit: http://www.jlab.org/ir/pubs/notice.html
