New Subcontractor Selected for Jefferson Lab Food Services
After a competitive solicitation and evaluation process, JSA has selected a new subcontractor to manage the café, catering and vending services at Jefferson Lab. On March 1 Elite Management Group will begin the transition, with full operation scheduled to start April 3. More information will be shared through regular updates in the Wednesday Weekly Briefs email to keep you informed throughout this transition’s progress.
Due to the original isolation of the lab, JSA was authorized under the contract to offset some of the cost of food services. But, with the growth of the Tech Center and proliferation of nearby restaurants and fast food businesses, we can no longer subsidize this service. Despite this change, we believe the new subcontractor will maintain a healthy and diverse menu at reasonable prices.
JSA deeply appreciates the Eurest team who has been taking care of our café, catering and vending needs for 14 years. Their service has contributed to many successful visits and events at Jefferson Lab. We wish all of the Eurest café and catering staff well and look forward to building a successful relationship with the incoming team from Elite Management Group.
