Jefferson Lab's Open House is scheduled for Saturday April 21, 2007 from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., rain or shine. In less than six weeks we will be hosting over 5,000 visitors to our lab for our biennial Open House! Volunteers-YOU-are the key to the success of this event!
Sign-up is available on line and hourly employees will be paid for time worked with supervisor approval.
We need approximately 90 employees to carry out Open House functions such as crowd control in the Free Electron Laser User Facility, accelerator tunnel, experimental halls, ARC building and Test Lab, as well as bus stop coordinators at all tour stops, cryo demonstration assistants, and science education hands-on activities.
This year we are requesting volunteers to sign up for the entire day. However, contact Janet Prater at ext. 7587 if you can only work part of a day so that we can place you appropriately.
Please consider being a part of this worthwhile community relations event. If you need information on volunteer positions available, please contact Janet Prater at ext. 7587.
To sign up, go to the INSIGHT PAGE and click on OPEN HOUSE Volunteers under the announcement column - https://www1.jlab.org/ul/apps/volunteer/form.cfm?id=22
