Dear Colleagues,

The Laboratory is entering an exciting and challenging period. I would like to brief you on the State of the Laboratory on Tuesday, February 21, in a series of all-staff meetings.

During these meetings, I will address the FY06 budget and impacts to the Laboratory and the President's FY07 budget within the context of new initiatives to increase funding for science and education. I will highlight recent Lab accomplishments, state the overarching institutional goals for the next five years and outline a strategy to achieve them. In addition, I will brief you on the formation of Jefferson Science Associates and highlights from our proposal to DOE to win the Jefferson Lab Management and Operating contract.

Four briefings on Tuesday, February 21, are scheduled in the CEBAF Center auditorium to allow everyone to attend and fully participate.
