The Vacation Donation open enrollment session begins today, November 14 and runs through Friday, November 18, 2011.
The program provides financial assistance to employees during approved unpaid leaves of absence related to a medical illness for themselves or an eligible family member. The employee must have exhausted all available sick and vacation time and would otherwise be subject to a severe loss of income.
During open enrollment eligible employees will have the opportunity to anonymously donate vacation time in four (4) hour increments to the vacation donation bank. The program requires donors to maintain a minimum vacation balance of 80 hours. Once the session closes on Friday, November 18, all donated hours will be held in the centralized vacation bank for use when an eligible employee applies and is approved to become a beneficiary of the program.
