Jefferson Lab Cancels its Monthly Siren Test

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility has cancelled the monthly test of its tornado warning siren for today. The cancellation of the test is due to the severe weather moving across the region today, which includes a National Weather Service Tornado Watch that extends until 1 p.m. EDT. If you are in or near the Jefferson Lab vicinity and hear the tornado warning siren activate today, take cover immediately.

Questions about Jefferson Lab's tornado siren may be directed to its Communications Office at jlabinfo@jlab.org.
