Jefferson Lab is pleased to host the A.I. for Nuclear Physics Workshop, held March 4-6, 2020, in Newport News, Virginia. A Free A.I. Hack-A-Thon geared toward junior scientists will precede the workshop on March 3.

Small interactive working groups will focus on several key areas, including:

  • Lattice QCD and other quantum field theories.
  • Nuclear structure theory. 
  • Accelerator, facility and detector operations.
  • Accelerator science.
  • Experimental methods (PID, tracking, etc.). 
  • Event generation and simulation. 
  • Global analysis and fits. 

The results of the workshop will be summarized in a report that will serve as a roadmap for A.I. future application and a guide to areas for possible collaboration.
