Attendees: Ashot, Chao G, Chao P, Dipangkar, Eugene, Haiyan, Li, Mahbub, Maxime, Weizhi, Xinzhan, Xuefei. Weizhi: Inelastic ep generator: generator is based on Bosted fit, includes internal radiation. Can generate only up to 2 GeV and cannot generate the radiative photon. Gives good agreement with data. This is the fastest approach for preliminary cross sections. Showed a few angles they look good. Simulation near transition region: Chao G, found a step size problem, for the secondary production. Once the step size in the calorimeter region is restricted (~1cm in PWO) the problem was fixed. Plot of before and after correction shows the leakage is mostly gone. quantitative analysis of the leakage. Trigger eff. as a function of the scattering angle. Most modules are at 99.5% or better at all angles (outliers 1.2%). As a function of energy the efficiency is almost energy independent above 500 MeV energy deposited. One could drop all modules that are below 99% but they will effect the neighbors so this needs to be studied carefully. The effect of the trig. eff correction as a function of angle looks mostly flat. For ee the trigger eff is more difficult to calculate, as there are two clusters. Tried weighted average of the two clusters. The weight does not seems to have very little effect as the efficiency is very flat. The ep to ee ratio of trig eff. correction is essentially flat. The eff test was done using 1 GeV photons, for use at 2 GeV will introduce a small error. If the change in gain was small the error should be small. look at the exact voltage change in the logbook. GEM efficiency for various cut for cosmic removal. Varies between 89.4 - 90.7 % There is an increase in GEM efficiency for ep events by ~ 1.3 +/- 0.2 % (no feducial cuts to remove dead spots and spacers). Xinzhan: Applying feducial cuts to remove dead spots and spacers give 100% efficiency everywhere. Need to check if this is actually correct. Compare Xinzhan and Weizhi methods for consistency and reconcile the differences. Complete by next week Discussion on extraction of radius: Maxime will build a database of world data and communicate with Chao P and Duke group.
