Summary of Primex meeting August 12, 1999
Attendees:

Purpose:
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the installtion
of the new sweeping magnet into the Hall-B beam line.
Summary:
There will be a long access time in January 2000 and the
next will not occur until August 2000. Ashot presented
a few transparencies. The first outlined the
work that would need to be completed
before the magnet could be installed.
He also presented some
details on how the Primex collaboration
would benefit from a January install
as opposed to an August one. Finally, a summary of the
accelerator schedule
for the hall
was shown to emphasize the amount of photon running between
January and August as well as the maintanence schedule.
Some discussion took place on the work list for the new
magnet before it is installed. The engineers have already
begun forming a plan for the platform re-enforcement.
Bernhard conveyed that given the current list of activites
scheduled for the January maintanence, he felt it was
unlikely that the magnet could be installed then. He suggested
we explore the possibility of using the pair spectrometer
magnet in the downstream alcove for detector testing.
