Monte Carlo Data Digitization Meeting March. 03, 2004

Attending: Raphael, David, Dustin, Aram, Eric, Dan, Itaru

Announcement: The Dry run is schduled on March 08 at 10:00. About 4 hours are anticipated. Please be in Hall-B couting house by then.

Ready:

  • high current: primex01573.dat (I=50nA) , (events=4M)
  • low current: primex01534.dat (I=0.1nA), (events=0.9M)
  • Produciton : pi0 trues (events->50k)
In Progress:
  • snake: generated 1500/block so far. Raphael keep on generating up to 10k/block.
  • production: accicentals. Dustin submitted 400 jobs in firm. Each job threw 40M events and he observed about 2700 events registerd in data. After filtering by a clustering program, 6 % of these events passed threshould and cluster criteria. Thus 70k single accidentals are expected to be usable when 400 jobs are completed. He will submit the job again afterword, and will get double statics. This is way below the original goal 300M events, but David is going to write a program to shuffle the single events to create much more variety combination multiple crusters.
