The next dry run will most likely be Monday April 12, 2004; this day is scheduled maintenance day, and there will be 2 or 3 more days of Accelerator beam-tests that follow. Note that we need to work with or around Sergey--who needs to do some tests in Counting House on 4/12 ...

McNulty. HyCal Histogram Tour:

The following link gives a preliminary list of online histograms used to monitor the status and performance of HyCal during the run. histList. Note that this is the long list; the short list for shift-takers is in development.

The following pdf file shows preliminary examples of the listed histograms (only the first third).histExamples. The data used to fill these histograms came from a simulation of approx 50k pi-0 decay events. Note that there were/are a few questions to be answered about some of these plots: the simulated data--specifically the details of the MCGENERATED ---> raw HYCAL sparcification (energy histograms), rescaled HYCALHIT--the details of the raw HYCAL ---> rescaled HYCALHIT sparcification (energy histograms), reconstructed HYCALCLUSTER position--why so strongly peaked at block's center (need to weed-out low-energy "junk" clusters from histogram).
