Official Meeting Agenda

Attending: R. Demirchyan, M. Ito, D. Lawrence, V. Mochalov, D. McNulty, I. Nakagawa By phone: S. Danagoulian, A. Gasparian

Summary of Meeting Discussions:

Mochalov. Software Tasks in Testlab: (see 3rd link in above Official Meeting Agenda page)
Understand the incorrect mapping of HV channels between the DataBase and the HV Crate. --D. Lawrence says: need to modify mySQL DB to be correct then upload the necessary info into HV Crate. Also, maybe some problems with the mapping of Detector Name to Detector Channel.
Add the possibility to turn on(off) specific board HV (part of the board); important for testing the baords. --Sombody says: E. Clinton will look into this.
Cables resoldered, so we need to make necessary pin assignment changes in "primex_online" DB. --Jar Underwood is doing this work.
Hardware tests to perform: (1)Add third fastbus crate, (2)Pedestal, (3)LMS, (4) Trigger Cable test, and (5) Prepare list of "bad" channels. --for (1), I. Nakagawa still looking into low Voltage (+/- 5V) problem; D. Lawrence says it should be trivial exercise to install last fastbus. --for (2) and (3), R. Demirchyan, V. Mochalov, and D. McNulty will work on this. --for (4) OBJECTIVE: To check each channel's dynode trigger signal (individually) by sending to an ADC...PROBLEM: There is no extra output at 1st stage fan-in, but there is one at 2nd stage fan-in, however, at this stage there are from (6x30=)180 to (6x36=)216 channels summed together and we need to look at one individually. SOLUTION: We need a script that will ramp down 7 of 8 channels in group. E. Clinton or M. Ito will do this. --for (5) There are some already known to have no booster supply. The usual suspects will work on this.
Nakagawa Leftover from last week--D. Lawrence's responsibilities from Dry-Run II
--ET to ET not working.
--rootserver crashes when client sends ls request (except for hycal_calib and ps_calib).
--Need to setup ET system in testlab
Ito Online area announcment
We now have a directory for our online files. It is /usr/local/primex
This directory can be used for any files that we need to have to support datataking. We should all make sure that files under this tree are group read/write-able and are owned by the "primex" group. If we stick to that, then CVS should work for all of use.
One caution about CVS. Do not use a remote, ssh-based CVSROOT when checking out files. That will shut out others from all CVS operations on the checked out directories, including informational operations. The /group/primex area is mounted on the clons, so "setenv CVSROOT /group/primex/CVS_REPOSITORY" is the proper choice.
Right now there is only a "builds" directory here. I am building rel-4-8 there as start.
