Ashot Gasparian's trip to FNAL

Dear collaborators,

During the last two months we been talking to ITEP (Moscow)
group about the possible participation in the 'PrimEx'
collaboration. Their contribution in this experiment will be
the lead glass detector part of the PI0 hybrid calorimeter.
These detectors are part of the 'SELEX' experiment at FNAL.
Last week I visited Fermi Lab to discuss and to check the
detectors there. I had very successful meetings with ITEP
people discussing the time schedule and some details of the
possible collaboration. The plan is to bring a prototype
small detector ( 64 modules, with the lead glass size:
42.5x42.5x340 mm^3) to JLab by end of September for the beam
tests. After the successful tests we will arrange a MOU between
ITEP and JLAB.
There is also a possibility to get some electronics ( ADC and HV)
which belongs to FNAL. I had a meeting with Dr. P. Cooper ( co-
spokesperson of the SELEX collaboration) and discussed these
issues. We have to continue talks and discussions with the FNAL
officials to work out the ways to loan these electronics from
FNAL.
There are few pictures I took for the lead glass detectors and
one module at Fermi Lab. I will put them here as soon as they are
ready.

Regards,
Ashot
