The topic of the Software & Computing Round Table in October will be “Streaming Readout":

Streaming Readout is more than just a simplification of the detector readout with no trigger system. It is an opportunity to streamline workflows for online and offline data processing in HEP and NP experiments, and to take advantage of other emerging technologies, in particular AI/ML. On Tuesday, October 19, at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) / 5:00 p.m. (CET), we will hear about R&D on streaming readout from three perspectives:

  • Roel Aaij (Nikhef) will introduce "Allen: Processing 4 TB/s of Streaming Data From the LHCb Experiment on GPUs.”
  • Marco Battaglieri (JLab/) will discuss "Streaming Readout for the Next Generation of Electron Beam Experiments.”
  • Jin Huang (BNL) will present "Streaming Readout for sPHENIX and EIC."

You can find the detailed agenda on: https://indico.jlab.org/event/420/#day-2021-10-19

We will use Zoom for the remote meeting:

Brookhaven National Laboratory, the HEP Software Foundation, and Jefferson Lab are organizing the Software & Computing Round Table to foster the interplay of computing and science. The monthly round table forum aims for knowledge transfer and to encourage common projects within our scientific community.
