Grunder to Talk on Jefferson Lab

Hermann A. Grunder, director of the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, will present a lecture at 2p.m. Friday in the Weinberg Auditorium at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

The Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, also known as the Jefferson Lab, is a Department of Energy nuclear physics research laboratory in Newport News, Va.

Grunder will discuss the laboratory's experimental program in nuclear physics, as well as research and development in superconducting radiofrequency technology.

A native of Switzerland, Grunder in internationally recognized in nuclear and accelerator physics.
