Media Advisory:

News Media representatives are invited to interview, photograph and/or film participants of Jefferson Lab's summer, science enrichment programs as they share their summer experiences and projects with JLab staff and the press during a Poster Session scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 3, from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in the CEBAF Center lobby.

Participating in this summer's poster session are:

  • Seven (7) Hampton Roads-area high school seniors who participated in the Lab's Summer Honors program (HSSHP);
  • Fifteen (15) college students who took part in the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI), which is geared toward undergraduates who are pursuing careers in science or technology;
  • One (1) college senior preparing to become a science teacher who spent the summer in the Pre-Service Teachers (PST) program;
  • And eighteen (18) middle-school science teachers participated in the Teacher Academy in Physical Science (TAPS) experience.

Many of these 41 individuals are from this area or central Virginia, while others journeyed from as far away as Minnesota and New Jersey.
