Lane Expansion Begins March 7 at South End of Lawrence Drive

On Monday, March 7, work will begin at the intersection of Lawrence and Onnes Drives (JLab's main entrance) in order to add a right-hand turn lane to the south end of Lawrence. JLab's main entrance and the Lawrence/Onnes intersection will stay open during this project. However, at times traffic flow may be briefly stopped or reduced to one lane. Please watch for congestion and use caution when driving in this area and heed all signs and flag people.
Facilities Management and Logistics asks for your patience during this project. Once it is completed, traffic flow departing the lab from the Onnes Drive/Jefferson Avenue intersection will flow more smoothly. Please view the attached diagram to see where the new turn lane is being constructed. This work should be completed around mid-March, but is weather dependent. Blocking work for the footprint of the new lane begins on Monday.
