    Jefferson Lab hosts Open House on
    Saturday, April 26


    Hands-on Activities
    Visitors — young and old — will be able to participate in many educational, hands-on activities provided by Jefferson Lab, government agencies and regional museums, including:

    Free Public Parking
    Free, public parking for the JLab Open House will be at the Canon Virginia parking lot located at 12,000 Canon Boulevard, in the Oyster Point area of Newport News, Va. (directions). Free special event buses will shuttle visitors from the Canon parking lot to Jefferson Lab (about a 3-minute bus ride) on a regular schedule from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. The last bus will depart the Canon parking lot for Jefferson Lab at 3 p.m. The last bus returning to the Canon parking lot will leave Jefferson Lab at promptly 4 p.m.

    Located at 12,000 Canon Blvd.
    Newport News, VA 23606

      Directions from Norfolk
      Take Interstate 64 West to Exit 256A - Oyster Point Road.
      Go to the first stoplight and turn left onto Canon Blvd.
      Go the distance of about 2 blocks and turn left into Canon Virginia's main
      entrance (with Guard Post), and follow signs to parking.

      Directions from Williamsburg/Richmond
      Take Interstate 64 East to Exit 256A - Oyster Point Road.
      Go to the first stoplight and turn left onto Canon Blvd.
      Go the distance of about 2 blocks and turn left into Canon Virginia's main
      entrance (with Guard Post), and follow signs to parking.

      From J. Clyde Morris Blvd./Rout 17 - East or West Bound
      From Rt. 17/Newport Square Shopping Center, turn onto Diligence Dr
      . Go To Thimble Shoals Blvd. and make a right turn.
      Go to first stoplight (Canon Blvd.) and make a right turn.
      Canon Virginia's main entrance (with Guard Post) is on the right about 3/4 down Canon Blvd.

    Handicapped/Bus Parking
    Handicap and group parking will be available at Jefferson Lab. Handicap visitors and bus groups should contact Sarah Ingels, 269-7444, or Linda Ware, 269-7698, to make arrangements for parking.

    Refreshments/Souvenirs
    Food will be available for purchase as well as Jefferson Lab souvenirs.
