Off-line Databases

There are two important databases for off-line processing, the Mapmanager database and the off-line database. The Mapmanager database stores calibration constants used by the reconstruction and analysis codes while the off-line database stores monitoring information in a convenient form to assess the quality of the cooked data. We note that the off-line database is an entirely distinct and separate entity from the on-line database. The on-line database is an Ingres database used to store information about the run conditions while that run is taking place.
