the second (last) 180-degree dipole magnet. The trim quadrupoles were installed in the west (first
recirculation) arc.
Completion of cleaning and reinstallation of the optical-transport pipes. Installation of the
insertable mirror and all FEL diagnostic beam lines for optics control. In the optical cavity, the
mirror gimbals were locked. Moreover, a radiation monitor was built and installed at the wiggler
location as a measure to protect the wiggler from radiation damage, and at month's end it was
being calibrated. Two new graphite viewers were installed in the wiggler region and aligned. They
provide a higher sensitivity to the electron beam than did the original viewers.
