Building 6: Pre-Fire Plan
----------------------

    Response Action:

    1. Make initial assessment of the situation.
    2. If warranted call 9-911 and report fire.
    3. Evacuate occupants.
    4. Report to assembly point

    Access:
The main building has four doors to the outside. Each bedroom has a door to the outside.

    Exposure:
The main building and the seven unit buildings are sufficiently close that a fire in one could spread to all. There are no other buildings in close proximity to the Residence Facility.

    Cautions:
There is a fireplace in the main building. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a washer-dryer in the main building.

    Occupancy:
There are seven unit buildings, each with four bedrooms. Each bedroom has a double bed or a single bed. A staff of one person is available during normal working hours, (8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.).

    Construction:
The Residence Facility was built to residential construction standards. Framing and exterior siding are wood. The roofing is fiberglass shingles. The floors are carpeted.

    Fire Protection:
The facility is equipped with a sprinkler system. Drapes and bedspreads are fire retardant.

    Loss Potential:
Loss of the Residence Facility would eliminate CEBAF's ability to provide on site accommodations to graduate students and out of town visitors at reasonable rates.

NOTE: The Residence Facility is not government owned and not on government property.
