Did you know that you can recycle your Tyvek® Envelopes at Jefferson Lab?

What is a Tyvek® Envelope you ask? They are envelopes made with "high-density polyethylene" (HDPE), the same ingredient used in food packaging, such as milk or water jugs. It is nontoxic, chemically inert, naturally white, and contains no binders or fillers". (http://www.ema1.com/indextyvek.htm)

Tyvek® envelopes are durable and reliable due to their strength (tear and puncture resistant) and chemical and water resistance. Tyveks are lighter than paper, thus help to save on the cost of postage. There are many sizes and styles available (see below).

Tyveks "are the most durable envelopes available". Another positive characteristic of Tyvek® envelopes à they are made with 25% post-consumer recycled material!

Recycle your Tyvek® Envelopes in the red bins located in Jefferson Lab’s recycling centers and help to keep the Lab Clean and Green.
