Newport News: Project 'Clean Sweep' 2005
"The CITY OF NEWPORT NEWS is holding PROJECT CLEAN SWEEP 2005 during the month of October and is encouraging residents to take time to clean out their garages, clean up their yards, and fix up their houses."
Additional "bulk waste collection" runs will be made in each area of the city on Saturdays to help Newport News citizens in their efforts to "KEEP NEWPORT NEWS CLEAN". It's simple – haul the acceptable* waste to your curbside and city crews will pick up and dispose of it properly. [Assistance is available for elderly and disabled citizens – call 269-2850]
