Review of Last Meeting's Minutes
We went over the minutes
from 11/4/05. Dustin reported that he has put Vasiliy's new
calibration constants in the database and that he has been working
with Mike on histograms for the offline monitoring pass. He also
mentioned that we still need to disperse Vasiliy's responsibilities.
Collaboration Meeting Agenda
We discussed the agenda for the upcoming collaboration meeting. Aron
has already made a pass at it. We endorsed the idea of an unstructured
time Saturday where all collaborators can raise issues they consider
important. Ashot will draft an agenda and send it to the group.
Compton Studies
Kelli presented work on both double-armed and single-armed Compton
scattering. She sees clear signals in both. See her web page for details. Dustin pointed
out that a y cut that Kelli used to clean up the single-arm signal may
be an r cut in disguise.
Alternative Clustering Algorithm
Aram showed results from a new clustering algorithm he has
developed. See his slide for a
comparison of position determination of different schemes, including
the new one. These initial results show some improvement over previous
methods; more study is needed.
