Photo of the Week, April 23, 2018
In April 1911, Heike Kamerlingh Onnes began his renowned work on superconductivity, for which he won the Nobel Prize in 1913. CEBAF was the first large-scale application of SRF technology in the world, technology which now exists thanks to the pioneering work of Onnes. Pictured are five- and seven-cell niobium cavities produced at Jefferson Lab's SRF Institute. Read more about Onnes here: https://www.aps.org/publications/apsnews/200704/history.cfm
