In April 1911, Heike Kamerlingh Onnes began his renowned work on superconductivity, for which he won the Nobel Prize in 1913. CEBAF was the first large-scale application of SRF technology in the world, technology which now exists thanks to the pioneering work of Onnes. Pictured are five- and seven-cell niobium cavities produced at Jefferson Lab's SRF Institute. Read more about Onnes here:
