-Set and freeze nominal values for the parameters that are expected to drift. Specify tolerances on variations from nominal and define unambiguous processes for setting these parameters. -Monitor calibrations and parametric values to identify and correct those that drift too much. As the machine matures, we intend to refine the metaprocedure to:
-Establish baseline properties for relevant beam parameters out of the gun. -Determine effects of changes in operating parameters on beam properties and machine performance. -Identify how to match the electron beam to a relatively stable machine configuration.

During the downtime, one of our activities will be to polish the metaprocedure and develop its supporting procedures.
