Event: High school and college interns and middle school science teachers that participated in Jefferson Lab's summer science enrichment programs will share their summer experiences and projects during a Poster Session.
Participating in this summer's poster session are:
- Seven (7) Hampton Roads-area high school seniors who participated in the Lab's Summer Honors internship program;
- Twenty-two (22) college students, including those who took part in the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship program and the Old Dominion University/JLab Research Experience for Undergraduates Accelerator and Nuclear Physics program, which are geared toward undergraduates who are pursuing careers in science or technology;
- Twenty-one (21) middle-school science teachers who participated in the Academies Creating Teacher Scientists program.
Many of these individuals are from the Newport News area and Virginia. Their respective summer projects directly involved them in the culture, activities and science of a national laboratory, including accelerator engineering, experimental research, free-electron laser projects and computer programming.
