Communications Office

The Communications Office is the principal point of contact for Jefferson Lab for media and the public.

The Communications Office is responsible for ensuring that the public is informed about the lab's activities and about the priorities and policies of lab leadership. It advises the director and other department officials on all aspects of media relations and internal and external communications. The office also provides assistance with electronic media, supporting the lab's mission with graphics, photography and videography.

Further, the Communications Office ensures that information provided to the news media by the lab is current, complete and accurate. It also ensures that all applicable laws, regulations and policies involving the release of information to the public are followed, so that maximum disclosure is made without jeopardizing or violating the rights of individuals, or compromising security interests.
