Stuart Henderson Named to Power List Two Years Running

Jefferson Lab’s director has been named to the
2020 Hampton Roads Power List by Inside Business

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Stuart Henderson, director of the U.S. Department of Energy's Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, has been named to the 2020 Hampton Roads Power List by Inside Business. According to the Hampton Roads Business Journal, this is the 10th iteration of the publication’s tally of people who are making major contributions to the region’s strength, and it is Henderson’s second appearance on the list.

“The science, technology, engineering and math fields are the keys for us to unlock the doors to a better future,” said Henderson. “I’m thrilled that the leaders in our community recognize the potential impact that the research carried out by Jefferson Lab is already having in our region and will have in the future, as well as recognizing the positive impact our highly skilled workforce is making in Hampton Roads today.”

The power list includes 75 people that the publication has deemed the top influencers in shaping the future of the Hampton Roads region, with 25 top and 50 other people who make major contributions to the strength of the region.
