WEDNESDAY, 3/31: SECRETARY GRANHOLM AND SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS TO DISCUSS NEW FUNDING FOR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Wednesday, March 31, Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will host a virtual roundtable with small business owners who recently received DOE funding for cutting-edge technologies. Participants will discuss how these awards will help them power scientific, clean energy, and climate solutions for the American people.

DOE’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs were established to encourage small businesses owned by women and socially or economically disadvantaged persons to participate in technological innovation, as well as to increase technology transfer between research institutions and small businesses. The awards fund projects that advance DOE’s scientific and clean energy priorities.
