  • The MOLLER experiment has received DOE approval to begin construction

    NEWPORT NEWS – The U.S. Department of Energy’s Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility is moving forward on a project to gain new insight into the interactions of electrons. The MOLLER experiment will make an extremely precise measurement of the electron’s force field to learn about specific and rare interactions with other subatomic particles. On May 28, the experiment received approvals of both Critical Decision 2 and Critical Decision 3 from the DOE.

    NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The U.S. Department of Energy’s Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility unveiled a life-sized LOVE artwork, now on display at Jefferson Lab.

    Created as part of a state and local partnership to promote travel and tourism, the artwork is an extension of the "Virginia is for Lovers" brand, one of the most beloved and iconic slogans in the world.

    HUGS 2024

    With support from the United States Department of Energy (DOE) and Jefferson Science Associates (JSA), lectures at the 39th Annual Hampton University Graduate Studies (HUGS) Program at Jefferson Lab are scheduled to run from Tuesday, May 28 to Friday, June 14, 2024. Students will arrive at Jefferson Lab on Monday, May 27 and depart on Saturday, June 15.
