  • Jefferson Lab to Test Tornado Warning Siren at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 3

    Jefferson Lab's tornado warning siren will undergo its monthly operational test at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 3.  Depending on weather conditions at the time of the test, the siren may be heard by anyone within a 1.5-mile radius of the lab.

    Don't respond to the siren; this is a test of the siren system and not a personnel response exercise.

    The test shouldn't last more than three-minutes.

After more than two weeks of disrupted mission, stress to families, furloughs, and uncertainty, Congress has finally provided funding for the start of fiscal year 2014 (FY14).

The Jefferson Lab Radiation Control Department will soon begin marking these areas to clearly identify radiological conditions.
