Both NP and HEP currently employ a two-programming-language approach, utilizing C++ for optimal performance and Python for its ease and speed in coding. However, in recent years, there has been a noticeable surge in interest regarding the adoption of a third language. Julia, a modern programming language that seamlessly combines fast execution with ease of coding, has garnered considerable attention.
The JuliaHEP 2023 workshop will have a hybrid format, with a lot of time for talks, discussions and tutorials. The in-person part of the workshop will take place at the Erlangen Centre for Astroparticle Physics in Erlangen, Germany.
