On Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 4:30 p.m., the 17 Department of Energy national labs will compete in the inaugural National Lab Research SLAM. Each lab will be represented by an early-career researcher who will share their work in a fun, captivating and punchy three-minute presentation. In Jefferson Lab’s corner is Pierre Chatagnon, who will slam about his research in “How Strong Is the Strong Force?” The contestants will share their work on transformative science and technology that spans the research portfolio of the national labs: energy security, national security, environmental resilience and scientific discovery. Winners also include a “People’s Choice” winner, selected by the virtual and in-person audience.

Will it be a slam dunk for Pierre and Jefferson Lab? To find out and show your support for the wide-ranging and cutting-edge research carried out every day across the DOE complex, tune in to view the live stream at: https://sites.google.com/lbl.gov/nlresearchslam/home/
