Ready to Accelerate Your Career?

Jefferson Lab’s internship program provides full-time college and university students the chance to gain paid experience in technical and business roles within the U.S. Department of Energy laboratory complex. By closely collaborating with experienced staff members, students will acquire valuable skills from industry professionals and contribute to projects that support the lab’s scientific mission.

This internship program includes a wide range of fields, from engineering to tech transfer, and from cybersecurity to communications, as they all play critical roles in the lab’s research and operations.

Requirements for consideration include:

  • Enrollment as a full-time college or university student (a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester for undergraduates and 9 credit hours for graduate students)
  • Availability to work up to 20 hours per week Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. & 5 p.m.
  • A grade-point average of 2.5 or above
