The Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility will hold an open house Saturday to let people take a look at a number of its experiments.
The lab will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors will be able to see the electron beam accelerator and other experiments that researchers are using to study subatomic particles.
Public parking will be available at Patrick Henry Mall, with buses shuttling people to the lab on a regular basis.
NASA, the Portsmouth Children's Museum of Virginia and the Virginia Air & Space Center also will have displays at the event.
For more information, visit the Jefferson Lab's open house Web page at www.jlab.org/openhouse/ or call the lab at (757) 269-7689.
