NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The Department of Energy’s Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility has revised the date for its next open house event. Now, Virginia’s national laboratory plans to open its doors to the public for its next biennial open house event on Saturday, Sept. 12. The free event will offer an opportunity for people of all ages to explore this world-class research facility.

WASHINGTON, DC – Jefferson Sciences Associates (JSA) has announced the award of $449,000 to support projects related to education, outreach and career development to staff and scientific users at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab).
Jefferson Lab, located in Newport News, VA, is a world-leading nuclear physics research facility. More than 1,600 scientists from around the world use the lab’s unique particle accelerator to conduct experiments to expand our understanding of the visible universe.

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – In order to foster growth and interest in applications of Artificial Intelligence in the field of nuclear physics, Jefferson Lab, in conjunction with the University of Virginia's School of Data Science, is proud to host an A.I. Hack-A-Thon on March 3, preceding the " A.I. for Nuclear Physics Workshop,” scheduled at the lab on March 4-6.
