Tech Note Template:
Tech notes were established in the late 1980s as internal, unreviewed documents produced for quick reference for the lab community. Although tech notes have been typically written in the format of the author's preference (even handwritten!), many authors have inquired about the availability of a template. For authors desiring a template, please see the downloadable extracted files below or visit the collection in Docushare which includes a zipped folder containing all of the necessary components.
- cis_technote.cls
- example_data1.dat
- example_data2.dat
- main.bib
- template.tex
- template_letter.pdf (ideal for printed paper)
- template_screen.pdf (ideal for on-screen viewing
Note: knowledge of LaTeX is necessary for the .tex template. Authors may consult this wiki page for more information.
Enormous thanks to Max Bruker for creating these templates.
The tech notes repository is available to view for individuals who are logged into the JLab network. Authors who wish to broadly distribute their tech notes outside the lab should submit them as journal articles in the JLab publications system.
