  • A Cookie for Your Thoughts at Quark Cafe on Jan. 21 and 22

    The Quark Cafe staff will conduct its annual survey, Jan. 21 and 22, to assess the JLab community's feelings about a range of cafeteria services. Fill out a survey, express your opinion and receive a free cookie.

    The survey form will be available in the cafeteria during lunch time on Wednesday, Jan. 21 and during breakfast and lunch on Thursday, Jan. 22.

    Since Henry Robertson took on leadership of the Safety Systems Group we have had Harry Fanning, Accelerator Division Safety Officer, filling in as the Engineering DSO. Harry has done an outstanding job in this role and I would like to thank him for his services over the past year.

  • Jefferson Lab Employee Tour Set for Thursday, Aug. 11

    Have you ever wanted to see the experimental halls and the accelerator tunnel, but have not had the opportunity to do so? Jefferson Lab employees, users, students and contractors will have that opportunity on Thursday, Aug. 11, 1-3:30 p.m.

    The tour will include stops at the Test Lab, the Machine Control Center, an accelerator, and Experimental Halls C and D. The visit to each facility will be guided by subject-matter experts. Photos may be taken.

  • Section of Kelvin Dr. Closes at 7 a.m., Dec. 7; Associated Sidewalks Close on Dec. 5

    Sections of Kelvin Drive between the main CEBAF Center parking lot and the visitor parking lot access points will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 7. This section of road on the front (south side) of CEBAF Center will be closed for a few weeks while the subcontractor replaces the chilled-water line between the CEBAF Center Data Center and the TED Building.

    The visitor parking lot will be accessible only from Lawrence Drive during this work.
