  • Funding Statement from Secretary Moniz, Dept. of Energy

    Dear Colleagues,

    As you know, the President has now signed H.R. 2775 into law, providing funding for the federal government to January 15, 2014 and extending the debt ceiling to February 7, 2014. After more than two weeks of disrupted mission, stress to families, furloughs, and uncertainty, Congress has finally provided funding for the start of fiscal year 2014 (FY14).

  • Watch for, Heed Radiological Postings in TEDF Buildings

    While nearly all construction associated with the Test Lab and Test Lab Addition (Bldg. 58) and the Technology and Engineering Development Building (Bldg. 55) has been completed, not all areas have been posted for radiological concerns. The Jefferson Lab Radiation Control Department will soon begin marking these areas to clearly identify radiological conditions.

  • Continued Limitation on Travel Approvals (Updated Oct. 21)

    Dear Colleagues,

    We will continue with the restrictions on non-essential spending during the Continuing Resolution. 

    To ensure that we continue to limit all non-essential spending, Associate Directors will review and approve all Travel Requests. Below is a complete list of authorized approvers:

  • Oct. 16 TEDF Dedication Canceled; Staff & Users May Take Self-Directed Tours of Facility from 10 a.m. – noon that Day

    Colleagues, 

    Due to the current lapse in federal funding and the continuing uncertainty regarding future federal funding, Jefferson Lab is canceling the public dedication of its Technology and Engineering Development Facility (TEDF) that had been scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m.

    We regret the inconvenience this may cause, but we believe this is the correct and responsible course of action.

  • Section of CEBAF Blvd. to be Closed Jan. 3-5, 2012

    December 19, 2011

    A section of CEBAF Blvd. – the two-lane road through the middle of the Accelerator Site – is scheduled to be closed Tuesday through Thursday, Jan. 3-5, 2012, for the delivery and installation of equipment to CEBAF's Central Helium Liquefier (CHL), Building 8. The section of road and sidewalk -- from about the southwest corner of Building 87 to about the front door of Building 89 -- will be closed.

  • January 10, 2006

    Parking will be restricted on and off in the vicinity of the VARC (Bldg. 28) and the Test Lab (Bldg. 58) for the rest of this week (Jan. 10-13) to protect vehicle finishes from possible overspray from roof work being performed on these buildings. Specific lots will be restricted based on wind speed and direction and planned Subcontractor activities.
