The DEIA team is thrilled to announce the launch of the lab’s new DEIA Book Club, a space for colleagues to come together to explore stories, gain new perspectives and foster meaningful discussions. The first book the club will read is “Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When the Stakes Are High, Third Edition,” a selection of the DOE’s DEIA, Training and Organizational Development Division. On Wednesday, July 31, at 2 p.m. via Zoom, the DEIA Book Club will explore chapters 1-2 of “The Fearless Organization: Creating Psychological Safety in the Workplace for Learning, Innovation, and Growth,” a selection of the DOE’s DEIA, Training and Organizational Development Division. Author Amy Edmonson examines the importance of embracing a new way of working, creating a workplace that promotes inclusivity, encourages new ideas, and values critical thought and inspired opinions.
