  • More than 70 youth turn out for Take Our Children to Work Day!

    Jefferson Lab staff members welcomed more than 70 of their daughters and sons to the Lab's annual Take Our Children to Work Day on April 27. The special day is in honor of National Take Our Daughters to Work Day. The Lab has participated in this event for several years, according to Jan Tyler, event co-chairwoman.

     

     

  • Great day for JLab's annual Run-A-Round!

    Planners and participants hailed Jefferson Lab's 15th annual Run-A-Round a success (read that "loads of fun"! "The weather was perfect for the May 4 event," said Susan Esp, JLab Activities Group (JAG) chair. "Run-A-Round participation hit a new record, and the T-shirt was a hit."

  • Summary of Analysis Workshop and Hall A Collaboration Meeting

    On December 10 and 11, 2002, the second annual Hall A analysis workshop was held at Jefferson Lab. The focus of this year's analysis workshop was on how various aspects of Jefferson Lab work, including the accelerator, target, and spectrometers.   • It is time for Jefferson Lab to embark on a new phase of life as a national laboratory -- a new phase in which we expand our view and ambition toward a broader role within the Department of Energy’s science mission.  While we maintain a focus on fundamental nuclear science, we have an opportunity and a duty to seek even greater impact in scientific discovery, technology development, regional and national priorities. With that in mind, it is time to plan for the Jefferson Lab of the Future.

  • Quark Cafe opens its doors at Jefferson Lab
    Grand re-opening event brings more menu choices, name for Lab's cafeteria

    On Jan. 31, Jefferson Lab's cafeteria, located in CEBAF Center, celebrated a grand re-opening and was named "Quark Cafe." A large group of Lab employees and users filled the cafeteria and lobby for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
