The development of practical quantum simulation technologies and algorithms that are suitable for applications in nuclear science demands a new generation of nuclear scientists, equipped with knowledge in both nuclear physics and advanced computing technology. Under the new DOE initiative on Quantum Horizons: QIS Research and Innovation for Nuclear Science, we are organizing a mini-lecture series at Jefferson Lab to provide the much needed training for young...

WELCOME TO THE A.I. FOR NUCLEAR PHYSICS WORKSHOP
The A.I. for Nuclear Physics workshop will explore the ways in which A.I. can be used to advance research in fundamental nuclear physics and in the design and operation of large-scale accelerator facilities. This workshop will explore applications and research needed on several time frames, ranging from immediate benefit, those requiring a longer time scale, with possible interplay with research and development in A.I., and those topics where significant research and development in A.I. is likely essential. The results of the...
Please join us online for the 2020 Jefferson Lab Users Organization Annual Meeting, June 22-24.
Registration is now open. There is no fee, but a Bluejeans passcode required to enter the meeting will be sent to registrants. The registration link and further information can be found to the left of this page.
This year’s physics program celebrates our vibrant and productive 12 GeV program at JLab, and will feature fresh physics results from around the lab. We will have presentations from laboratory management and our funding agencies - there is a lot to talk about so...

Please join us for the 2019 Jefferson Lab Users Organization Annual Meeting, June 24-26. Registration is now open.
The theme of this year's program is "JLab Science Around the World.” Each day has a sub-theme, and these are: “an international user community,” “reaching the full potential of 12 GeV,” and “from 12 GeV to the EIC - toward CD-0,” setting the emphasis for each day.
The program includes a variety of physics talks, presentations from the User Group Board, laboratory management and funding agencies, and the winners of the thesis prize and the postdoc prize. Examples...
Title: Measurements of Single and Pair Production of Hadrons in Nuclear SIDIS in the CLAS Experiment
Abstract: I will present recent measurements of semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering measurements off nuclei with CLAS, in both single-hadron and double-hadron channels. I will describe how these measurements can constrain the interaction between quarks and cold nuclear matter, and also the nuclear modifications to transverse-momentum dependent parton-distribution functions. I will finalize by describing an upcoming eA...
