Web-based Training

The Training and Performance Office helps the JLab community obtain skills, knowledge, and abilities that increase their effectiveness and professional development through the Lab's Education and Training Program.

In order to provide a safe and secure place to work, Jefferson Lab requires all individuals to acquire and maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities (generically called "skills") which are designed for specific organizations, personnel types, jobs, and on-site work areas. Most of these skills are acquired through training.

If a training course or document is not accessible, please report your problem to training@jlab.org. You may also complete the training on campus at the User Liaison Office or the Support Service Center Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Web-Based courses and documents are linked to the following skills below;

  • ES&H and Medical-related skills have skill codes that begin with SAF or MED.
  • General skills that apply to a broad range of our community, but do not address ES&H have skill codes that begin with GEN.
  • Skills related to Managing or Supervising have codes that begin with MGT, AP, GD, or SH.
  • Skills that are acquired by reading a document may have codes that start with any of the above, but generally have the letters "kd" in the code.
Please see the list below of frequently required courses and the term expiration. Click the course link below to start training!
