  • The Jefferson Lab University Relations Office was created in 1991 to facilitate interactions between Jefferson Lab and the nation's universities. Its most important role is partnering with universities to help them build strong research groups focused on the Jefferson Lab scientific program. Jefferson Lab pays particular attention to the potential of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's) and other Minority Educational Institutions (MES's), which are currently underrepresented among the users of national laboratories.

  • In support of its goal to create in the Southeast new faculty positions in nuclear physics in support of Jefferson Lab's scientific mission, JSA/Jefferson Lab has entered into several types of partnerships with universities. Under joint faculty arrangements, new faculty are appointed to tenure-track university positions on a cost-shared basis with Jefferson Lab.

    Our Next Speaker:

  • Our greatest asset here at the lab is our employees. Without the hard work and dedication of each and every person, we would not be able to meet the needs of our contract, nor would we be able to deliver on outcomes with impeccable precision and at a high-level quality. As a result, we want to provide ways to celebrate and reward efforts for jobs well done and for going above and beyond to keep us safe and for the extra effort and dedication that we rely on across the lab.
