ePAS Advisory Team Information

The U.S. Department of Energy's Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility has deployed the Electronic Permit Administration System (ePAS), an electronic safety tool that provides a single, lab-wide process for task hazard assessment and hazard mitigation. This covers activities associated with maintenance, operations, research and development, and production at Jefferson Lab.

The Jefferson Lab ePAS Advisory Team (eAT) is chartered by the Lab Director to evaluate the use of ePAS and recommend prioritized changes as the tool is used more broadly at the lab. Those recommendations include scope, configuration and overall functionality in support of Jefferson Lab's Work Planning & Control process and Integrated Safety Management program.

The ePAS Advisory Team had an inaugural meeting on February 2nd, 2024. From that initial meeting, and the ones to follow, there have been action items logged in an Action Item Tracker to ensure long term items are being noted and progression shown.
