HR Learning and Development now offers One-on-One Coaching. What better way to help develop your skills through exploration, goal setting, and having someone to support you as you try out new skills or work on improving in areas that need refinement?

Mentoring at Jefferson Lab:   Just A Cup 

Leadership at the lab is committed to providing growth and development opportunities for all staff members. In 2023, the lab introduced a mentoring program titled “Just a Cup.” This program was in response to the lab’s 2023 Inclusion Survey where employees expressed their desire to have greater access to resources for professional development and career growth. Also, as noted in LinkedIn Learning 2022 Workplace Learning Report, "having opportunities to learn and grow continues to be a key factor that people say defines an exceptional work environment.”

“Just A Cup” connects staff to leaders at the lab through an interactive forum. Attendees have the opportunity to engage with a panel of speakers, who openly share their career experiences, successes and lessons learned.

Topics will highlight things like:

  • Exploring different technical or operational roles at the Lab
  • How to build a network and find mentors to help you learn and grow
  • Discover more about the lab and career opportunities that exist
  • Learning a new skill or identifying ways to enhance the skills you have…and more

HR-Learning & Development team will host four sessions in 2024:         

               March 12 (2-3pm in SSC 53)

               May 8 (11am-12noon on MSTeams - virtual)

               August 27 (1-2pm in SSC 53)

               November 12 (2-3pm in SSC 53)

  • Come prepared to listen and engage
  • Jot down some questions you would like to ask a head of time 
  • Hold yourself accountable by establishing what you would like to get from the sessions
